PLAYA

As you know I spent most of the summer on a long and relaxing vacation on the beach, I was lucky to spent an entire month on Playa del Carmen, one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico and one of my favorite places to vacay as well. Believe me it’s the perfect place to spend the summer, It’s amazing how as soon as you get there, you get lost in time and feel like nothing else matters any more, there's just you, the sea & the sun, and seriously what else do you need. I really enjoyed my time there and I got to take some great pics along the way, that I'd love to share with you.

This pictures are from one of the days I spent walking around town, I wore this super comfy and loose romper to stay fresh, then wrapped my hair on a braid and wore my favorite fedora to help combat the heat from the sun and completed the look with my new Ray Ban blue mirror shades to match this casual beach look.

ENTREVISTA PARA RED CARPET MAGAZINE

La semana pasada tuve el honor de compartir la portada de la revista Red Carpet, con tres talentosas mujeres y amigas, las cuales al igual que yo, se especializan en moda y estilo. Este articulo fue dedicado a las Stylist mas destacadas de nuestra ciudad, por lo que estoy muy contenta y sumamente agradecida de ser considerada una de ellas, adoro mi trabajo y es increíble el ser reconocida por ello. Me encanto formar parte de este reportaje, en el cual me realizaron una pequeña entrevista sobre mi vida, mi estilo y mi recorrido dentro de esta profesión, aquí les comparto la entrevista y algunas de las fotos que me tomaron para esta edición!

Sus inicios

"Desde chica he sido amante de la moda, gracias a mi mamá, que es diseñadora de modas, y crecí dentro este ambiente y me enamoré por completo de esta industria. Cuando crecí y entre a la universidad, decidí estudiar diseño de modas, por que era la única carrera enfocada a esta industria, pero después de dos años, me di cuenta que no era lo que quería, lo que me gustaba de la moda no era diseñarla o confeccionarla, si no algo mas allá. Decidí irme a estudiar Fashion Styling al Instituto Marangoni, en Milán, donde conocí más sobre la fotografía de moda y lo que es en realidad el proceso y trabajo de una stylist”. 


¿Desde hace cuánto tiempo te dedicas profesionalmente a ser stylist?

"Hace tres años que regrese de Italia comencé la carrera de diseño y consultaría de imagen la cual me ayudo a complementar, lo que había aprendido en Milán”.

¿Lo que más te gusta de serlo?


"Tener la oportunidad de llevar a la vida un concepto y lograr transmitirlo por medio de fotografías. El tener la libertad de escoger la ropa, y de realizar los diferentes outfits para cada sesión, es lo mas divertido, así como el usar mi creatividad para lograr transmitir un mensaje utilizando solo la moda como herramienta".



Sus estudios


"Estudié Fashion Styling durante un año, en Milán, en el Instituto Marangoni. Además acabo de graduarme como Licenciada en Diseño y Consultaría de Imagen, de la Universidad Valle Continental, en la cual dentro de los cursos de diseño de imagen, llevé styling y coordinación de moda”.



Su estilo


"Creo que no tengo uno fijo porque estoy cambiando constantemente. Busco innovar e intentar nuevas tendencias todos los días, pero sin perder mi sello personal, siempre sofisticado y chic, con un toque dramático y creativo".



El estilo en tres palabras...


"Personalidad, actitud y confianza”.



Una mujer con estilo...


"Segura de si misma, sabe que prendas le favorecen a su cuerpo, no tiene miedo de experimentar con su guardarropa y busca siempre imponer tendencias".



Sus básicos de temporada


"Crop tops, pantalones y vestidos estampados, faldas y shorts de piel. En cuanto a accesorios los statement necklaces siguen imponiéndose, al igual que los aretes grandes y los famosos ear cuffs".



El básico atemporal


"Las blusas blancas, de distintos estilos, son una prenda súper básica y muy versátil que se pueden usar con todo. Además no puede faltar un par de tacones y lo mas importante son los accesorios pues creo que toda mujer debería de aprender a usarlos y mezclarlos".





Su marca de ropa favorita


"No tengo una marca en especifico, soy una persona que compra en cualquier lugar, no importan mucho las marcas si me gusta y me queda bien lo compro, pero una de las tiendas que más me gusta es H&M".



Su ícono de la moda


"Admiro a muchas personas, por su estilo y sentido de la moda, pero sin duda una de mis favoritas es Anna dello Russo, editora de Vogue Japón”.

Le encantaría vestir a...


Diane Kruger, por que considero que es una de las actrices mejor vestidas, además de tener un estilo impecable y súper vanguardista".



Le encantaría trabajar con...


"De stylist con Rachel Zoe, con el fotógrafo Mario Testino, con la editora de moda Grace Coddington, con las modelos Cara Delevingne y Coco Rocha y con el diseñador Zac Posen".



Sus consejos en...


"According to Me es mi blog dedicado a la moda y estilo, en el pueden ver las ultimas tendencias de la temporada aplicadas en mi forma de vestir. Comparto mis looks de cada día, hablo sobre mi vida, mi trabajo y todo lo que conforma mi estilo personal. Es una manera muy divertida y moderna de expresar mi creatividad y dar a conocer una faceta distinta dentro de mi trabajo como stylist".

“Terminé mi carrera recientemente y estoy lista para dar el siguiente paso en mi vida profesional. Entre mis planes está el irme un tiempo a vivir a la Ciudad de México, para impulsar mi carrera como stylist, ya que es una ciudad donde hay muchísimas oportunidades dentro de la industria de la moda”.

TRIBAL SPIRIT

The ethnic trend was definitely a stand out during the entire summer season, we were able to find this influence everywhere, from the prints, styles, on pants, short, skirts you name it, there was a piece for everyone. It’s amazing how over the past years tribal inspired clothes, have become a must have for summer, mostly because they are so cool, fresh and easy to wear, for a casual day out, weather it’s on the beach or the city, they just work every time. And they worked during the summer for me too, while in Cuba, I got to wore my new hot pair of shorts, for a day out on The Havana, it was a hot day and we did a lot of walking, so I had to wear something comfortable and fresh, that would help me survive a long day in the heat. I decided to keep my look simple, by pairing my shorts with a basic white top and nude sandals, then pulled my hair up on a crossed over braid band, to match the style of my bottoms, giving the look the complete ethnic vibe.

I had such a great time during my summer vacations, as you could see so far, in this and on my past posts, which where just a small peek from my trip to Cuba. NOT EVERYTHING IS BLACK & WHITE

This is another post from my awesome trip to cuba, this time I’m sharing one of the easy summer looks I wore during my week there! It was pretty hot most of the days, and since we walk a lot around the city, this flirty dress was the perfect choice for a long day on the tropical Havana. I love the black & white checkers print, it’s so on trend for the season, besides it’s really fun and fresh to wear during the day, to complete this super simple look, I added a belt to cinch in and highlight the waist, a big chunky necklace and a cool pair of sunnies. Of course I would’ve loved to wear a super high pair heels, with my pretty dress, but it would've been kind of difficult to walk around town on heels, so I had to put style a side, and dress my look down by wearing a pair of comfy flat sandals, to take on the beautiful streets of the havana.

CUBA PHOTO DIARIES

After spending an incredible summer away, I finally got back home, now I’m more than ready to get my life back on track, and start posting and sharing all that has happened so far. A month away may seem like a lot, but it was just the right amount of time, even tough it went by so fast, I have to say, I did make the most of it. During the past month, I had the chance to travel, relax, have fun, go out and enjoy to the max the time with my family, friends and boyfriend. One of the highlights of my summer was definitely my trip to Cuba, I spent a week on the beautiful Havana, which is a place I thought I wouldn't go back to, but some how I ended up returning sooner than I thought, and it was as amazing as It was two years ago. I had such a nice time, we got to go to so many great places and walked around the city, just admiring their colonial architecture, which is full of history,  just being there you feel like time got stucked in the 50s, the buildings, the cars and the entire vibe, really transports you back in time. It was great to go back and enjoy the culture, food and the mojitos of course of this super fun city once again. Here are a few photos I took during the trip, to share with you this experience, and for you to see some of the places and details that make this city so famous.
