PRINT ON ME

As I told you before my brother is getting married soon and we have been helping him and his fiance out out in everything we can. They have done so much already, so it's great to be able to help every once in a while. This time his girlfriend asked my sister, my mom and I to help her pick out her wedding gown, It was such an honor for her to want to share this moment with us. We went to her first fitting yesterday and it was so exciting and emotional, my mom couldn't stop crying the entire time! She tried on so many great dresses, but she couldn't made her mind yet. We'll have to keep on looking, hopefully she'll find the one soon. Meanwhile here are some pictures I took during my day, while I was looking all over town for the perfect location for a photo shoot I'm styling tomorrow, and when I passed trough this place, I taught it would be interesting to shoot with my outfit.

Printed blazer - Zara, Denim Shirt - Stradivarius, Chain collar clip - Vintage, Golden tread sweater - Zara, Cropped skinny jeans - Levi's, Purple pumps - Jennifer Lopez, Green tote bag - Coach, Sunglasses - Louis Vuitton.

While I was walking around this area, I saw how my my printed outfit clashed with the super graphic and colorful walls, from all over the market zone. They where all so weird and bold.. so why not play with the idea of creating a mix and match using everything around me.
Keep in touch!
love,
Andrea

IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

I'm kind of busy today, but I didn't want to let the day pass, without sharing with you this cool pictures I took yesterday. I was driving by this place and taught it would be interesting to shoot there. It looks like if I where lost in some random place, when actually it is a construction site really near to my house. The contrast between the classic clean look and the dirty ground and rusted wood panels is so intriguing.. well at least for me!

This masculine trend has become very popular over the years, women nowadays are adopting this formal way of dressing for their daily life. All thanks to the revolution caused by Yves Saint Laurent with his master creation "The women's tuxedo suit". Since then this trend has been on and off, but now more than ever women are using menswear inspired clothes, everything from the oxford shirts and the oversize boyfriend blazers, to even wearing bow-ties and oxford shoes. This new look has become the ultimate women's rebellion, who said only men could wear a tux..

I'm totaly in love with this trend and getting to discover the masculine side of my style.
What do you think should we keep dressing as men??
love,
Andrea

THE SECRET GARDEN

On friday I had an interview with a new magazine called "Gist", they asked me to help them with the styling for this months editorial. I coudn't be any happier, it is a great opportunity for me to get out there and get better at my job, hopefully one day I'll become a well known stylist, which by the way is my ultimate dream. This is what I wore to go to my meetings, it was a busy day. I also went to a desginer's store to pull out clothes for the magazine's first edition cover shoot, that will be featured next month. I'll make sure to share it with you, so you can read some interesting articles and see more of what I do best.

Tulle midi skirt - H&M, Beige shirt - Lacoste,  Sweater - Zara, Waist belt - Vintage, Tote bag - Coach, Snake skin platform sandals - Fendi.

I chose this very feminine look because I think it's so classic and perfect for a good first impression. I adore this tulle skirt and how it gives the look a 50s retro lady like style, that has made a great come back since last season and the best thing is that I finally got to wear my new shoes, I couldnt wait any longer.

Have a nice day!!
love,
Andrea
