SWEET & SOUR

A few weeks ago I was interviewed about my blog for Look magazine, on thithey asked me about how I started this  blog journey and the evolution of it. It was a fun article about what being a blogger really means and how I got into fashion in the first place.

Along with the interview, they included an editorial spread and asked me to pose for a casual street style photo shoot, in which I showcased my personal style by creating and wearing three completely diferent looks that would better describe it.

The first look is a feminine mix of sweet and sour, put together by mixing a super sweet tulle midi skirt, with a more sour utilitarian denim shirt, contrasting the hard and soft on a simple but chic way. Then to make this ensemble a bit less girly and more edgier, I added some bold silver accents, like my favorite cap toe pumps and my new huge statement earrings, bringing the extra flare and edge to the look.

GAME OF PRINTS

Mixing prints is one of my favorite dressing up games to play, I love to mix and match them to create cool contrasts of textures and styles, creating unique eye catching looks.

As you already know my favorite print to combine is leopard, much that it has basically become a neutral to me, this time I mixed two diferent leopard prints, a basic style on my pumps, and other a bit more graphic on my mustard jumper, then I matched them with a flirty striped skirt, to make a fun and unexpected look.

For the final details I added some golden accessories and wore my beloved color blocked vintage earrings which matched perfectly with my entire outfit!

OH, JULIO!

I went shopping a few days a go with some friends, we visited several stores looking for new stuff. I usually buy clothes at the same stores every time I go shopping, but this time we decided to try something new, so we went to check out JULIO, a mexican brand and retail store, which I always thought was dedicated for older women, but I realized I couldn't be more wrong.

I was surprised when I saw their new collection, it has tons of great pieces for every age and style. We found amazing things, like this graphic black and white dress, which of course I had to take with me, it was one of the first pieces that stood out to me, I love the 60s mod influence it has, it was a no brainer that my closet was in need of something like this.

When I finally wore it, I tried to make it modern, by styling it in a more edgier and dramatic way, wearing a white shirt underneath to make it more preppy and then clashing and contrasting it with a sexy twist, by pairing it with thigh high leather boots, a big floppy hat and bold red lips. I made it my own, by marking my personal style, adding a bit more drama on the details, making it more city chic.

I’m going to Las Vegas for the weekend, so I'll see yo next week,
Have a fun day, I sure will!!

MAKE ME BLUSH

Pink is one of the hottest colors of the season, this winter we’ve seen pink shine in all of it’s glory, weather in a hot pink or pale pastel tone, this super feminine hue has definitely left its mark during this cold season. And I’m loving it, I think it’s great to be able to wear light tones during winter for a change, even though we all love black and grey, because they are the easiest tones to mix and match, without worrying if you’ll look out of season, but it’s finally time for a change, thank God, cause winter doesn’t exactly has to mean boring dark clothes anymore.

I wore this neutral look on a cold december day, mixing blush and white tones to get a cute matchy matchy outfit, by pairing my polka dot sweater with white shirt and pants, then added my oversized pink coat, to keep the pale color palette. I love pale pinks, they always look so pretty and every time I wear this tones I feel like such a girly girl, which isn't exaclty my favorite style, but I do like to look sweetie every once in a while!
